Homebrew Discussion Files getting Deleted.

I figure I would post this thread to see if others are having a similar problem after exiting homebrew or even after a crash nro files like using vba next after exiting cleanly the nro is gone gets deleted and sometimes my whole switch folder empties out not sure what could be causing it I had reformatted my sdcard. I am on 5.0.2 using hetake.

Anyways, I have never heard of this before.

You say that after closing Homebrew apps the .nro gets deleted, and sometimes the entire Switch folder? What apps are you using and does this happen with all apps?

I pretty much try every app that gets released. It has happened with ftpd,vba next, appstore ect. Soo for instance I was playing metroid zero for about an hour i exited and the app was gone from hb menu. I went to the folder and the nro was gone I had to reinstall it. This morning I was transferring files with ftpd it had crashed and all folders and files were ok except the switch folder all homebrew got erased.

It's a known issue with ftpd, heard about it on other threads. Don't use ftpd for now because its still in development and there are lots of issues with it.

I was thinking it could be the problem but again just exiting vba next deleted itself lol

Huh, my guess would be something to do with ftpd, try deleting it and see if it still happens?

Is it possible you have a fake sd card. Have had similar issue with Chinese knock off. mem cards that claim their larger than they are

Ok gonna try that and hopefully it fixes my problem. It has been ongoing since homebrew release

Na it's a official samsung sdcard

Try a different sd card maybe issue with card. Would be nice to deduce it anyhow

I dont have another card to try I have like 15 official games that never have deleting issues or anything on ofw. Only homebrew seen to disappear and it's only the switch folder I keep my roms at the root and they dont get deleted but if I keep it in the switch folder they end up getting wiped..

maybe your hbmenu is the issue

Ok I'll try doing a clean install again and not use ftpd.

Maybe you just have a bad) corrupted sd card that's could be the problem try another sd card and see if you have the same problem after
