Hacking EZ Flash Jr. Kernel & firmware issue

Hi, I recently got a EZF Jr with factory firmware 4 and kernel K1.04e.

I updated to firmware 5 and kernel K1.05e: according to the link in product page, I copied the two files to the micro SD root.

Attached image p1.jpg shows the update process.

When update finished, information shows firmware 4 and kernel K1.05e (attached image p2.jpg)

I tried to play GB games and everything is ok, but when I tried GBC, game boy logo appears (it takes more time compared to GB games) and blank screen appears (attached image p3.jpg). Nothing happens then.

I tried with original GBA and with Chinese clone GB Boy color, and I got no luck. A friend of mine has a GBA with a EZF Jr, and when he updated, info shows firmware 5 and kernel K1.05e

Anybody could help me, please?

It looks like your first FW5 upgrade should have been unsuccessful, the firmware version is still stuck at FW4, and, as per your report, you should not own a high speed card like sandisk red 32gb, I suggest you downgrade the kernel to 1.04e and keep the combination of FW4 and 1.04e until we roll out the official FW5 and 1.05e.

The current FW5 and 1.05e are release candidate.

Yeah, I use a very old 1GB card. I thought it would be fine because all GB and GBC roms are around 900MB. I'll use a faster one in the future.

Regarding downgrade the kernel, I cannot find a page or link with previous releases. Would you mind providing me a link with that files?

SD cards whose sizes below 4GB are not supported in the official feature list of the EZ- FLAH Junior.
So I suggest you try to replace it with a newer SD card.
