Ez flash Jr + ips v2 and batteries

Hi, guys, I've read all the threads related, but they are from 2020-2021. On 2021, after the lastest ez flash Jr. firmware, is it 100% sure that a modded GBC (ips v2 screen) will work with ez flash jr and a pair of eneloop rechargeable batteries 2550 MAH? I would like to be 100% sure If it's worth it buying the Eneloop batteries

I can confirm, I am using the new IPS screen (the one with the illuminated "Gameboy Color" and I have used it extensively with the EZ-Flash JR and also the Krikzz everdrive, the batteries will drain quicker, but you will still get plenty of hours of use out of it.

Yep, had them a couple months, I have also used "PowerOwl" batteries which seem to be very close to the enloops, although never heard of "PowerOwl" and they are more of a spurious brand, I would say the enloops are still the better battery.

I've just setup funnyplaying IPS together with ez flash jr for GBC and see one major issue.
the saves are unstable. For example I tested Shantae, mickey racing adventure. Sometimes the saves are works but mostly after the hour of game I see no saves at all that is the pain. Although no issue with original cartridges. Looks like ez flash jr consume more power than required especially with custom ISP.
Maybe someone figure out how to play well without lost saves?

If there's no problem with jr's coin battery,

recommended AA battery is ikea ladda(2450mAh) or eneloop pro.

Looks I've found the root cause. I updated the firmware of EZ flash jr from 1.04e to 1.05e and saves works fine
