Homebrew Question error "failed to apply 'emummc'"

Hi,

I used "Tech Dunk"s video tutorial to mod my Switch (with Hekate) and it worked fine for, however one of my kids did something (oh boy ) and now I can't boot into emummc anymore. I get the error "failed to apply 'emummc'" and then I get back to the Hekate menu .... anyone know how to fix this? I tried re-selecting the emummc partition again to no avail.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi I had the same problem after upgrading emummc to 10.2.0
The problem was solved after upgrading hekate to the newest version (5.3.2 -> 5.3.3)
If not already done, also update atmosphere

try to run hekate latest payload 3.5.5 with tegrarcm, or update payload on your dongle, it should be on latest hekate

thanks for your answers. How do I update Hekate (and Emummc and atmosphere)? Just download and overwrite on my SD card?

If you are injecting with tegra, you'll just inject hekate with that, as for atmosphere, you'll need to download and overwrite with 14.4 atmosphere and with the bootloader file that came with hekate, put that in your sd as well. That's what worked for me when I ran into this issue.

Google Hekate GitHub. Download the latest release.
Google atmosphere GitHub. Download the latest release.
Google tegrarcm GUI GitHub. Download latest version.
Put sd from switch in pc.
Replace the atmospehere.
Replace the boatloader for Hekate
Install and open tegrarcm GUI.
Put sd back in switch.
Plug switch into pc in RCM.
Tegra gui will say if it senses the switch.
Select the Hekate from the files downloaded to pc.
Tell the tegra gui to inject.


If your not sure of any of the above terms search for guide on running cfw on switch.

If you don't know the above already. Follow a complete guide somewhere. The above is not all inclusive of safety and not bricking your switch.

It does not cover the initial setup. Just on how to fix the original posts issue.

Just use Hekate to setup an emuMMC.
