What you need:
And unused PC Power Extension cable such as this one.
A cable cutter or a simple scissor.
~5 minutes of time.

Steps:

1. Cut off both ends of the cables
   
2. cut off around 3-4 cm (1-1.4 inch) of one of the cables
3. take the cutoff part and remove the a bit of the inuslation on both ends (~0.4cm or ~0,1 inch)
   Either use a cable cutter or use a scissor which you dont fully close, just enough to get through the insulation.
4. twist the now lose cables on both ends together until they Form a decently solid "string"
5. bend the cable in a u-form and put it in place, the switch joycon rail should hold the cable for you
6. adjust the cable by pressing both ends towards the closest side of the rail.

Dont worry if you mess up, you should have a dozen tries before you run out of cables

Troubleshooting:
Pin 10 isn't shorted.
-push the cable closer to the rail sometimes they seems to hit the empty space between them
-try moving around the switch preferably so that gravity pulls the cable closer to the pin.

if you are busy then dont bother installing the cfw since it will most likely require some reading and time. And if oyu are even too busy to read the pinned thread then dont bother with the cfw since you may as well brick your device due not reading everything due being to busy.

alright thanks for making a general assumption that i am always lazy... If I want to mod my switch i will do it. and do it right. Im just trying to figure out what is going on and im not being that aggressive about it

Ok that just happened.

I stuck a wire into the ground hole of a RPi LCD screen and the other in Pin 10 and it booted RCM mode lol
First time it has worked in 2 hours

Ok I am having the samwtroubles, cant the jig to work properly since i 3d printed it and used a soldering iron to imbed the piece of wire to te jig now making it the right shape and thickness to work ok ,by the way I have acess to a 3d printer for free, and it only takes 5 mins t0 print the jigs and I dont have to pay for pla either I just use the Cubicon plus in the library, all I have to do is watch it an keep printing under 4 hours. I just attach wire to 1 of the screws on that actual rail then let other end sit on pin 10..... never had issue
