So I found a Wii at a yardsale a few weeks back for about five dollars. I was really excited about the deal so I ended up plugging it into the car while I was out. it turned on and seemed fine, although it wouldn't eject the disc it had. when I got home I plugged it in and it still worked fine, but I still couldn't eject the disc. my friend recommended trying some compressed air to try and clean any dust that might be messing with it. I took it outside and sprayed it with compressed air. I noticed some dead bug-type things coming out of the ports and disc drive. I went to plug it in and it turned on, but then the light fizzled out and died. it hasn't turned on since. I've tried a power adapter reset, I've tried checking the motherboard and didn't see anything obviously broken. but it was FULL of dead bugs. (I ended up having to sanitize everything) I am relatively new to all this so if anyone could help it would be appreciated.
TLDR plugged bug-ridden Wii into a car, sprayed it with canned air, and tore it down. is there any saving it?

After opening it up and cleaning a bunch and spraying it with compressed air on the inside, it still doesn't work. I've uploaded some pictures of it Incase there's something wrong that I don't see. I did notice there was some sort of corrosion type stuff around the bottom of the power socket thing, but I'm new to this stuff so idk about any of this

Okay I tried plugging it in and I've discovered it will make some faint noises if the fan is unplugged, but if the fan is plugged in, it doesn't do anything. It might have something to do with that. I'll also try removing and putting the wifi board back.

Alright, I've swapped the Bluetooth/wifi modules, and the fan with working ones. Neither has worked. So checking that off the list. What else could be wrong with it?

Have you tried with another power supply?
Does it show a red led (standby mode) when you it's plugged in? Does it change to green when you press the power button? Or nothing at all, after opened the system?

I've tried three different power supplies that work on two other wiis. And when I plug in any of them, there is no led light, and no noises, except when the fan is unplugged.

Well, if there's no led light then the system will not turn on, unless if it's a faulty led (unlikely) and not the whole power switch board.

Do you see the led light then?
The light did not come on, but the Wii would make faint noises and I could feel the motherboard getting warm

The fan not spinning is due to insufficient or no power, i doubt it's the culprit. It's something power related most likely.
What did you do exactly after you first turned on the system? Did you see anything unusual like glitches on the screen or something?
And was it fed the proper voltage when it was plugged in your car? (if not, something must've fried as result..)

When I first plugged it in at home, I hadn't hooked it up to the TV yet, so I couldn't have seen any visual problems, all that happened was it made a fizzing noise and then stopped working.
As for when I plugged it into the car, the outlet says 115v 150w, not sure how that compares to what the Wii is supposed to have though.

Ok.

So at first it showed the green led and turned on fine, but after the noise the led light disappeared, right?

115v is close to the recommended 120v so it's fine. Not sure about the wattage though (or if it affects it).. Tho since the issue appeared when you were still testing it at home, it's probably a non issue..

The light did turn off after it fizzled out. Been googling all I could think of, no idea what it could be.

Have you tried deep cleaning the entire console minuciously with alcohol to remove any corrosion or dirt from the circuitry?
Compressed air alone is not very helpful.

Okay, after cleaning it up I've noticed that the heatsink thing has some sort of corrosion on it. I cleaned as much as I could reach, but it's really hard to clean it. After hooking everything back up and plugging it up, I felt the wifi module getting hot, at one point I picked up the entire Wii and when I did I got a signal on the TV it didn't show the menu or anything, just a black screen with moving white lines, I tried to take a picture but when I set the Wii down it shut off. I drew what it looked like with my limited artist talents. I tried turning on and off and picking up and setting it down and worked every now and then, at one point the blue disc light turned on and then flickered off. I'm getting close to fixing it I think. I've attached a drawing of what the TV showed.

I've checked the regions and they both match up (NTSC-U) and the disc even works with my other Wii. I've been trying everything I could think of but nothing has worked I've swapped out almost every piece with a working one from my other Wii and none of them do anything. I have noticed recently that when I plug it in one specific piece gets very hot, not sure if it has anything to do with the problem or not. I've attached a picture showing the part that gets very hot very quickly.
