ROM Hack GBA City Names showing in German in Advance Map

Hey, I recently got interested in hacking roms to make my very own messy pokemon games.
However, in must tutorials I've seen, the cities are named like they should while mine are (I assume they are) in german.
Anyone knows why that happens and how to fix it?
(Fire Red Version USA 1.1, Advance Map 1.92)

Are you sure you have the US version of the ROM and some ROM site somewhere did not mislabel things?

I don't know what the program reads offhand or if it has some kind of translation buried within it but it a potential as well.

I tried multiple websites and multiple roms all quoted USA, all names were in German

Since you only want to check if what you downloaded is really a usa rom, you would just search the rom on the no-intro site, and compare the checksum listed with yours. It's that simple.
