Hello,
I jailbreaked iOS 13.4.1 trough Checkra1n on my iPhone 7.
What I would want to do is extracting ROMs files from Sega Sonic games trough Filza File Manager. Is it doable?
If yes, where can I find the ROMs files.
Thanks.

You probably can't do that and if you could we'd need to know what apps your specifically talking about.
Either way it'd probably just be easier to find them

The apps are :
Sonic The Hedgehog classic 1 & 2
On the AppStore
It might be possible if you have enough technical knowledge, but the amount of work it would take would probably not be worth it.
Especially since I can't find any documentation on it. WE don't even know if there's a rom bundled in or if they just edited the source code and ported it (probably the latter).

I do wonder..... Playable on what exactly?

You have the rom in full playable format on your iPhone and you have now broken down the rom into separate files from the apk(android term) and now you want to compile it onto a rom to play where and why?

Just trying to get my head round this!

In fact I first tough I would be able to obtain the full ROM by decompiling the game rsdk ...
It seems to not be the case.
I at least got a lot of beautiful textures and good songs.

The Sonic games for iOS and Android use a custom engine rewritten from scratch. (I suppose if the programmers wanted to, they could include the original ROMs and then have the engine extract the data from them at runtime – but they did not.)

If you want to extract the ROMs for some strange reason, it looks like you should be able to do that with the versions available from Steam. Those run on a Genesis emulator.

It's not strange at all, extracting ROMs from a emulated game is a more legit way to get an original console game than downloading it illegally from a website.
Thank you for the trick.
