Can anyone help me with the backup of my Nintendo 2ds?

Hello guys, about a year ago I bought a Nintendo 2ds XL but I didn't know it was modded (the seller hadn't specified it).
I noticed that when, updating the console, a black screen came out, and to solve I asked for help online because unfortunately I know very little about these things.

About a month ago I open a discussion here because I was having problems with the reading of sd card, now I bought a new USB adapter and it reads the micro sd without problems.

I'm finally ready to make this backup, but first I'd like to understand better what's on my console.

Regarding the backup, I know that you just have to copy all the contents of the micro sd somewhere, but a user told me that for backing up game saves you had to follow another procedure with homebrew or something like that.
I tried to search for information on web but I didn't understand much.

Looks like you have CFW

to make a NAND Backup use Godmode9

to make a copy of all the content on the SD card just copy those file to a computer or external HDD.

NAND Backup is for disaster recovery if you somehow messed up your sysnand you can restore that to go back to previous state, as for save backup you can use jksv/checkpoint.

So if my micro sd suddenly no longer works, it wouldn't be enough to take a new sd and copy the files that were on the old one, but it's necessary to do this NAND backup too?

You can replace the SD card, back in the day if you didn't have a nand backup and if you brick you are screw, now a day you have ways to unbrick from software brick.

Software brick like when you turn on the system you get a crash or you just get a black screen, so you either have to restore your nand or do a ctr transfer.

You can do make a backup of the files on the SD just incase something wrong with the SD, so you can copy those file to another SD as long your NAND is working, but the nand backup is more important.
