ROM Hack RELEASE Borderlands 1: Game of the Year Edition 60FPS mod

Mod for Borderlands 1: Game of the Year Edition that increases the framerate from 30FPS to 60FPS. It is hitting that target framerate most of the time in handheld mode when using the below OC but a higher OC to GPU could help in the most heavy areas. Only tested in portable mode but will probably be unstable in docked mode without using ReverseNX to force the handheld profile due to the high resolution.

Recommended OC profile:

handheld_charging_cpu=1785
handheld_charging_gpu=768
handheld_charging_mem=1600

To install it simply copy the exefs_patches folder to the atmosphere folder.

Will only work with version 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 of the game.

It should set the max framerate to 60FPS in both modes but it will be unstable in docked mode, tbh what i wrote in the thread is a bit misleading.

hm borderlands patch is not working for me.

I put the "Borderlands1GOTY60FPS" folder with the IPS in it to "/atmosphere/exefs_patches"
or even just the ips itself to "/atmosphere/exefs_patches/es_patches" or" /atmosphere/exefs_patches/"

And yes I did set and overclock, but its still locked at 30.

Would be nice to mod the settings, for example remove the blacklines (on low resolutions looks ugly), FXAA or DoF, on PC i gain some performance and only modifying a .ini file. I don't know how it works here but the 3 games use Unreal Engine.

Also Borderlands 2 don't have a FOV slider

There is only ProfileData.bin (Skins, Badass points) and the SAVs (Charater game progress).

Which tool is good to unpack the game?

I keep getting an error occurred right after the intros play. This does not happen to me without the patch. I am at version 1.0.1 so I am not sure why this is happening

Doesnt happen for me so the patch is probably not the problem here.

The issue here was me being stupid. I had extracted a few files for layeredFS and that was interfering with the patch. Once I deleted those files the patch works fine.

Any chance you can do 60FPS patches for BL2?

it is hard going back to 30 on BL2 after all the greatness that is BL1 60FPS

Agreed! Makes such a huge difference, I can't play BL2 until we get a 60fps mod and Bioshock(s).
