Another Phone Question

I cannot add my hotmail account to my phone for some reason. it keeps saying "email security not guaranteed." it was working to an extent until I removed it, since I couldn't receive emails suddenly. now, it doesn't work at all.

nm, I figured it out. the problem was ad-guard. I disabled it for gmail, since I don't really get any ads in there, so now it's fixed.

it's a hotmail account, but I was using the gmail app that comes with the phone.
