So it looks very much like item ID is just 0x2000 ^ item_name_index...

Grass wear data is after the map data (about 0x6428 bytes after the start of the map data). FFs give you full grass, 00s give you desert, and any value inbetween appears to represent different stages of wear. Haven't figured out the exact length yet though, it seems to go on for longer than it should.

Seems that after a new day, any "pre-defined" bald spots will return, including the areas underneath concrete.

This is for everyone who's sick of spending hours in the ocean getting eaten alive by jellyfish in the hopes that a villager will request the public works project that you want to build.

Instructions:

1. Put acnlpwp.bin onto the root of your SD card
2. Launch Animal Crossing and begin playing as your mayor character
3. Launch this URL in the web browser: http://dukesrg.no-ip.org/3ds/rop/?LoadCode.dat&acnlpwp.bin
4. Go to the town hall
5. Build any PWP you want

Note that this only unlocks the PWPs with Isabelle. It does not allow you to rebuild one-time-only PWPs or anything like that.

Result screens:
Green: Everything went as planned and you now have all PWPs available.
Yellow: The program was able to find your PWP data, but you already have all PWPs unlocked, so no changes were made.
Red: The program couldn't find your PWP data. No changes were made to your game, but a file called mori-debug-town.bin was written to your SD card. If this happens to you, PM me a copy of this file and the version of the game you own (region, physical/digital, etc)

Disclaimer: This has not been tested thoroughly. I accept no responsibility for destroyed save files, broken or missing PWPs, or Resetti jumping out of your console and attacking you with a pickaxe. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Only the RAM is changed, so if you experience a problem, turn off the power without saving and you should be fine after reloading your game.

I'll update the item list later, thanks to SciresM! We still have to index all outside items (trees, rocks, weeds...) but that would just be the last piece :-)

I also plan to update the first post with more information and a better explanation.

Also, for those who are having problems with the editor, please, send me your acnlram.bin (along these: console, firmware, retail/digital, mayor/normal player, region) so I can fix it

Did you put the bin file in the SD card root? I haven't tried it yet, but if you did then maybe it's supposed to do that and you just go back into your game.

I cannot get the acnldump.bin to work, it freezes my 4.5 3ds xl + gw emunand 9.4 .-. well actually I couldn't get any spider stuff loading

Okay, and now for the ultimate question...

I'm thinking of downgrading my 9.2 to 4.5. Can I backup the RAM dump using your exploit, downgrade with the browser hack, start a new town (since the save file is encrypted), run your exploit to reload my old town into RAM, save the game, and have my old town on pre 6.0 encryption?
