update quite fast, considering they put "hacked" version of wood kernel into their own custom kernel.
version1.51 is already updated on their website.

how they did it? since wood only compatible for limited R4 series.

I wouldn't suggest doing that.
I suggest buying an R4i Gold (url: http://r4ids.cn/) instead. I also suggest buying from this site

There is nothing separate from the other flashcards,better get a r4 .. But the irony is that it is a new card and it's been blocked by the nintedo..

Some people can't buy online so they are forced to get a card wich sells in they region.
For me its R4i SDHC and Ace3DS Plus.

But i found a way to get a R4i Gold

I wouldn't suggest this card, it doesn't have real support and uses a hacked version of Wood R4. I suggest if you want a cheap card to go with the R4i Gold (url on card: http://www.r4ids.cn/) and I suggest checking out GBAtemp's official sponsor nds-card.com. Buying from them supports the temp!

I chose this card because it mentioned FC/SFC emulation. Can anyone comment on the quality of the emulation.

Also I see there are constant updates for this card and that it works with the newest 3DS firmware. Is there a real reason that people are not recommending this card other than that it uses a hacked version of Wood firmware? If it works for the lowest price and has constant updates, why the hate?

People on gbatemp are focusing their efforts on SC DSTWO, as we speak people are working on further improving snes/sfc, gba, and gb(c) emus for it.

Ace3DS+ is a gimmick being held up by a pirated 3ds game rom

It's the same as all the other flash carts. The only emulators that are flashcart-specific are the better ones for the DSTwo, all the other carts till getting updates use the same damn emulators as everybody else.

No, they made newer revisions to take the new updates.
