Review Approach:

I pretty much went into creating this review only for my thoughts about the game.
This game, as you can see, it was a critical hit on marketing. It sold millions of copies, bypassing Tomodachi Collection: New Life and others. It's the predecessor of Animal Crossing: City Folk
So this game appears to be the 4th in the animal crossing series, and also, the best-selling game on the US and Japan, eventually, the game starts in a train like the first game in the series, and if you create the first character, the character becomes the mayor, while the other 3 become normal residents of your town. Your home will be a tent, and to upgrade the tent, or donate a lot of money for a public works projects you can't wait, there's more opportunities on earning bells, like ores, island fish and bugs, some of them are very rare but as long as you keep on trying, you will receive a JACKPOT one day.

You're gonna be attended by a secretary named Isabelle, who will be in charge of attending the mayor for the rest of the game. There's some stores like Able Sisters who are now on Main Street instead of the town itself, and there's also a new function that you can see someone's homes via Spotpass or Streetpass, and order any kind of furniture you like. Three characters from the past games were removed, which seems very unfortunate to see these characters to never go to an journey in another game certainly.

You can visit the island after the 2nd expansion of your home, the island is also a good way of earning bells, or blow off the Fishing Tourney or the Bug-Off competitions ONLY if they allow any fish or bug. In that case, catch as many bugs or fish who are bigger. Ways of winning is by using the Ocean Sunfish for the Fishing Tourney, and the Birdwing Butterfly for the Bug-Off. But there's also other types of events you want to attend, and others not very interesting for you.

Also, you can have the ability of creating custom furniture by going to Re-Tail. Cyrus will be in charge of making a pattern for the appropriate furniture, like the Modern Bed. It reminds me from MySims, because talking to Sophie will also make you some custom furniture with patters. Sadly, since the MySims series are over, still, very fun Animal Crossing Clones to play with.

Last but not least, New Leaf is recommended for good friends and families who love to go on tours, help the other with their bell making guide, and of course. i really hope the game grows stronger and wishing the best of luck afterwards!

Verdict

What I Liked ...
  • (1) The characters are now taller, more hairstyles, and of course, it looks like an Animal Forest remake for the 3DS in my opinion.
  • (2) Pretty good graphics.
  • (3) Bees are now easy to catch! and some bugs, too :)
  • (4) A game that you can't put it down.
What I Didn't Like ...
  • (1) Bed head returns. Yep, i don't like that hairstyle so much because it ruins the beautiful hairstyle my characters used to have.
  • (2) Some of the people online in the island just, put their belongings to the box, and leave. Which makes me mad, because every time someone wants to leave, i turn off wireless. Why not have a tour first, hm?
  • (3) I hate how villagers are placing their houses on places where you don't want to, especially if it's on an awesome garden, it gets really frustrating.
  • (4) We can't transfer our characters from past games unlike City Folk. Which means you have to create a character with the same appearance as your character has.

Gameplay
The gameplay of this game is quite fun, but it gets sometimes boring if wandering around for so long, the new characters, and your first character becoming the mayor are some ideas who were amazing for the Animal Crossing fans.

Presentation
The way the trailers were made, and the features were awesome. My favorite features is about the way we can change our eye color, and there's also new hair colors including wearing not only the default grey shorts or dresses, that means we can change from sleeveless, short sleeved, long sleeved shirts, along with pants, and dresses. Cool features they have here.
7
Lasting Appeal
It's the kind of game i recommend for those who are Simulation Game Fanboys/Fangirls in my opinion. Some Animal Crossing clones like Magician's Quest and Fantasy Life are also pretty good games, and an amazing gift for a gamer too.
7.5

Overall

I love the animal crossing series, but honestly the cons should be understood not only by Nintendo, for those who got problems in their game fortunately, but still, a really fun game to play, especially if you're sitting bored doing nothing after work on school. So, grab your 3DS, and let the world of Animal Crossing erase these worries away from you.

  1. Hardware

    Tribit StormBox Micro 2

Cramming a ton of features into a small package is a difficult feat on its own, but the Tribit StormBox Micro 2 manages all that and then some.

    Epomaker CoolKiller CK98 Keyboard

Did Epomaker learn its lessons from the last RGB-ified outing, with the new CoolKiller keyboard?
  3. Nintendo Switch

    Dredge

Indie title Dredge sails you out on a fishing adventure; but what looks like a cosy trip in the open seas can turn into a fight for survival after dark. Will you conquer the seas?
  4. Computer

    ShowGunners

Turn-based is definitely not my go-to, but ShowGunners definitely piqued my interest so I had to give it a whirl!
  5. Computer

    Case of the Golden Idol

Case of the Golden Idol was one of the most acclaimed games of 2022. With its first DLC releasing today, does it still live up to the hype?
