    Haven't used ikureader in a few years, but I used to use it to read between classes

    Due to ram constraints I had to split Brothers Karamazov into like 4 parts to get it to run - still better than reading on a phone screen

    I agree. I don't think it should ever be used as a "mandatory" control. I think it should be used as an alternate to something, if you would want. Navigating maps, inventory, any game that has a "mouse" like interface (ex warframe)

    Anything from Ubisoft is basically designed by committee and its just crap. Some games do open world just fine and I have fun with them. but most are "open world" just for the sake of being "open world".

    That's exactly right! It's more of a buzzword these days, even if it's detrimental to the gameplay itself. There are games that have done it well, but that doesn't mean the market should be flooded with open world games now just because it's trendy.

    I wouldn't mind more new linear games, honestly. Hell, with how most open games nowadays it'd basically mean trading a big empty world with a few gimmicks for a more coherent storyline and level design, so count me in any day.

    Relatable. I had to turn off the rumble for my Switch because it was either too weak or too strong depending on the game, and many of them don't give you an option to adjust the strength of it.

    DQXI: 10/10 everything except the MIDI sampled music. It cripples the game so badly, its hard to enjoy the rest of the game. WTF Squeenix

    I've heard it's because Sugiyama wants to sell the orchestrated soundtrack CDs separately, so he only licenses the midi versions for use in the games. If you're playing on Steam, there's always the fan-made patch that inserts the orchestral score into the game, though.

    Ech would have to disagree. ACT 3 of the game is such a big middle finger to everything that was built up in ACT 2 that is turned me off from wanting to complete it for a while.

    Dragon Quest 8 was certainly a thing I was aware of but I didn't really get on board quick enough with it and I fell by the wayside. I played mostly the Monster games, Getting Joker 1 in early 2008, and waiting for what felt like an eternity for Joker 2 later in 2011. It wasnt until after I graduated college that I gave DQ4 as try.

    I played the first dragon quest (dragon warrior then) when it came out and loved it. But subsequent games didn't hold my attention. Then IX came out for the DS and I fell in love with the series again. Will give this new one a shot. Shame the unique 3ds version won't be localized.
