You know how some places are actually modelled in Maps? I dreamed about how that could look in the future.
It was kind of like a game. It was much more detailed: no more pixelated textures, and you could see the cable of a cable car. It also felt more alive. Water had reflections and rippled, trees moved as if they were blown by wind. That annoying zoom limit that's on the current Google Maps was also not present; you could get much more up close and personal.
Do I think this could be possible in the future, in real life? Definitely. But we'll need technology that can scan terrain and/or a lot of people modelling worldwide.
