I messed up

Well, my friend is not going to take it lightly. But I am going to try to make a duplicate sav of his Pokemon Fire Red. What happened was when I went to go rip the sav through GBA Backup Tool. I accidently selected initialize save to factory default. Some shit like that. I meant to select the other option. That is where I fucked up. I feel very bad that I screwed up which will probably end up costing the friendship between my friend and I. If he is reading this, I am very sorry. All that I knew he had over 400 hours put into it and almost had every pokemon. I'm just gonna accept whatever consequence and move on with life. I wasn't doing it intentionally to mess up his game.

Other news, I am starting to work on PicoDrive Ds and going to make it a better emulator than JenesisDs is. It's going to be a long project, but going to be worth it. One other tech demo I am going to make is Super Mario RPG. Just the very 1st area to see how things turn out and maybe I will show it to Nintendo and Square Enix. But the chances of it becoming a full ds/3ds title is very slim.

If you lose a friend over a freakin' pokemon save...your friend would be an idiot.

I'd have kicked my best friend to the curb about 3 times, and disowned my sister about 7, if videogame saves meant that much.

Just give him a hundred dollars and convince him that payment is worth more than what Chinese MMORPG gold farmers receive to feed their male children rice and other delicacies

In a few hours I plan on telling him. Most I can do is hack all the Pokemon into his save and call it a day.

If you actually lose a friend because of a Pokemon save, then it'd actually be a good thing... Ever since I was a kid I've had my save files erased by friends, family and even my my cat once (well, he was messing around on top of the remote controller while I went somewhere and managed to start a new game on top of that save), while its pretty frustrating, it's a game, it can always be replayed. =3
Friendships are more important than games (well, than most games). >3

No special favors at all. When I was using his Ds Lite with broken L and R buttons (I had to blow into them to make them semi work). Since his L and R buttons were touchy, I selected "sav data in rom initialized" instead of "sav data created on the micro sdhc card". Even though he said last night before I accidently formatted his game "most of the stuff is irreplaceable". But being the nice person I am, I am going to trade most of my stuff from Emerald to a fire red sav I found. If he doesn't like it, then whatever.

i did that in Pokemon staduim where i transefed his pokemon to the game and my friend was borrowing my alleyway game for gameboy. so he took that in excange so also it was pokemon red or blue i don't rember which

I somehow doubt showing a tech demo of Super Mario RPG to Nintendo/Square Enix would work.

It's a possibility. I do want to see Super Mario RPG ported. But, Square Enix would seize the project :P
