Hyouka - best anime this season

Not gonna read since I only watched up to ep6. Definitely a good show. Chitanda is freakin' awesome.

I agree: hyouka's been one of the best anime this season, although, to be honest, I think Fate/Zero beats it by a little because it was too awesome (but hyouka's still only halfway, so can't really tell yet). I don't think there have been many anime lately that caters on mystery (Another was more horror/thriller + it lacked some logic), which is what makes it feel "fresh."

As for the rest of the anime, I don't think it's been too good this season. I was expecting some deeper connections from Eureka Seven to Eureka Seven AO, but so far, it's not too major.

Ahhhhhh my anime backlog keeps growing and growing ;.;

I agree with you 100%, Hyouka's been one of the best animes of spring 2012.
"Acchi Kocchi" came in second place for me. (Yep. It ended on ep 12)

Well, I like quite a few animes from this season, namely:
-Hyouka (it has bits of mystery, and I love that),
-Mystery Girlfriend X (just found out about it but already downloaded and watched all eps, I used to read the manga a few years ago and was addicted to it),
-Otome X Amnesia (really good too, near the ending I almost cried, only to lol in the end), Sankarea (the story is really interesting the ending was a real cliffhanger for me),
-Saint Seiya Omega(I'm really loving this one, I loved the original Saint Seiya and this one seems like a really good sequel),
-Eureka Seven AO (I loved Eureka Seven, and the mechs are gorgeous, I hope it gets a happy end),
-Nyaruko-san (it's hilarious)

But the best one of all, the one serie that I loved last year and loved even more this year:

-Kore Wa Zombie Desu ka? of the Dead (the anime itself is amazing and the ending... so awesome... I can't wait for the next season in 2013, I'm looking forward to it).

nazo no kanojo x, tasogare otome x amnesia, sankarea - came from a manga i'm updated with so i don't watch it each week but just dled it for batch watching.

nyaruko - it is hilarious actually loved it but decided to drop it on a whim. (more like on hold coz i'll probably watch it laterz)
upotte - batch. this is for private entertainment.
tsuritama - nice colors intrigued me but then fishing really is boring for me. dropped.
acchi kocchi - was in doubt whether i should download or not. decided it's for batch. since it's comedic.
jormungand - tied in 3rd with fate zero. not too many blood. and it has koko and her unique team.
fate zero - didn't put on top since it was a continuation. and i'm not really into type moon. but still an awesome anime.
mouretsu pirates - don't get a ranking. i just like the schoolgirl pirate on SPACE.
natsuiro kiskeki - at first i thought this would be the best this season coz episode 1 is good. but then hyouka came and later episodes became less and less interesting.

ad next season there'd be like around 6-10 anime i'm looking forward to.

I didn't watch most of the series. I'm keeping up with Accel World (still goin') and I kept up with Fate/zero.
Fate/zero was definitely the best for me. Every week I thought "Now how the fuck can they possibly top last week." and they always did.

As for the others (most of which I have on hold and only watched 2-5 eps of)

Nyaruko - Loved it but I put it on hold because I wanted more serious anime and less comedy, plus I had a fuckton to watch already. Grabbin' a batch.
Acchi Kocchi - Same as Nyaruko really. Probably one of my favorite comedy animes, but on hold for now. (watched like 5 eps)
Accel World - So far so awesome. I've been pretty impressed with it. I have a bit of trouble with the Burst Linker drama since I have a "it's a videogame..." mindset to things, but meh i'm still enjoying it quite a bit.
Fate/zero - god tier. They need more Fate animes. Or Type-Moon in general.
Sengoku Collection - I just love seeing some badass fuedal warlords portrayed as girls. Like Ieyasu omg.
Upotte - Ecchi animes start to drive me nuts after a while but I was still entertained by it. It didn't overdo it...though I only watched to ep 2.
Natsuiro Kiseki - Watched the pre-airs (ep1 and 2). Interested. Not sure what to say about it yet, I like the character designs though.
Hyouka - One of my favs, probably why I watched it to ep6 (maybe 7..) before finally putting it on hold so I can enjoy it.
Medaka Box - Showed some promise. Ep 1 was pretty funny and you don't see a ridiculously confident headstrong female lead too often.
Otome x Amnesia - Ep1 had me on the fence. I liked the humor at the beginning, I think the ecchi bit turned me off of continuing though.

Pretty sure they covers everything I attempted to follow and then realized there was no way in hell I could follow them all.

In this manga, it actually makes some sense as to why she acts like that, towards the end of the series she stops being like that, won't spoil as to why tho. x3
