Uses the same save unless using emunand. I do not know how to get the save out of the emunand though. -

Are you serious? Hades, Dead Cells, Slay the Spire, and Monster Train are all amazing in their own right. Risk of Rain 2, Noita, and Returnal deserve an honorable mention. BoI also kind of fell off after Rebirth.
