YouTube video duck shooters fined, banned

Three Saskatchewan men charged after a YouTube video showed ducklings being shot illegally were handed hefty fines Monday, as well as a three-year ban on acquiring hunting licences.

Good, if you're idiots enough to both shoot baby ducks and post any illegal activity on Youtube you deserve a fine and ban.

I feel bad for the ducks. Just because they're ducklings, doesnt mean killing them isnt a crime. I dont now whats worst, this or that cat that got microwaved...

If they shot them to eat as a delicacy that's fine, but if this is for sport, they deserve the fine and ban. The mistake is posting this on Youtube otherwise they would never get caught.

I remember hearing of this guy who posted a video of himself going way over the speed limit on some road somewhere, and getting fined for that. People can be pretty stupid sometimes.

All three were charged with hunting migratory birds out of season and using a rifle to hunt migratory birds, careless discharge of a firearm and allowing edible game to be wasted.

Rowlands was additionally charged with discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

Sounds like $5000 a person (6000 for Rowlands) isn't too much given the number of charges they got.
Someone could have been killed you know.

They should be shot in the knee or something so they know what it feels like! .... Then the ones that shoot them should laugh in their face and say "This was for fun!"
