After rising rumors during the last couple of days, Nintendo has confirmed the inevitable: YouTube is officially available on the Nintendo Switch's eShop as of today.

Nintendo's official announcement reads the following:

Kick back, relax and enjoy all of YouTube on your Nintendo Switch. There's entertainment for everyone, like music videos, movies, gaming livestreams and the latest viral sensations. Explore a world of videos with personalised recommendations and easy access to your channel subscriptions. So grab your friends, family and your controller, and enjoy YouTube together.

Available as a free download, the official YouTube app requires 93.32 MB to install, supports 11 languages and can be played in Handheld mode, Tabletop mode and TV mode.

Doesn't matter, a neat solution will come for those banned I bet, a media center of sorts based on Kodi or perhaps a new one with access to mountable devices and other video/streaming services for sure.

Yes but it will default to 1080p every time you launch it. What I'm saying is that it took a year and they couldn't keep this in mind.

i always find it funny i read something then go to youtube and their is a spawn wave video on the exact thing I read with no new info. I'm in different with spawn wave, some videos are ok but he just reminds me of someone very arrogant and annoying. I don't know why tho. Maybe its just me.

Hulu keeps a few of the latest episodes available though. But you're on point, it'll never go to Netflix since the deal last year between Fox and them fell apart.
