Mine would be a locking carabiner with a bottle opener, a flash light, a blade, a money clip and a compass.

Which is really my SAK/Wallet/Mini Flash Light/Compass and Carabiner.

Honestly I would be happy with these

And a Tie between the bottom 2.

mmm fake chocolate or do you mean the wood?
im designing a wood carabiner at the moment. it will be completely wood. will hold your keys and thats it because it is wood. then im going to make a wooden pipe carabiner then convert a metal flash light carabiner into a green pipe (if you get my drift)

I already have a working wooden spring design.

Interesting you would choose cheap carabiner-inspired keyrings with cheap flashlights on them.
Also, I didn't read the thread.

What's with the carabiner fetish?

Why not carry a good 'leatherman' tool in a pouch?

If it doesn't have an adjustable wrench,
a decent file,
a serrated blade,
a straight blade,
a hardened phillips-head screwdriver, (damn things wear out too fast)
and if at all possible a LED light or a retractable magnet,
then it's pretty useless to me.

Then you can hang that from a carabiner, if you really need something to dangle.

And why the money clip?

The money clip is because I have a big ass wallet filled with dumb shit like cards, receipts, sometimes cash if I take some out ect. I would rather have 3 things a carabiner with needed stuff on it, money and a pen. Thats it.

I carry around a husky multi tool on my belt for any possible needs but in most cases my tools are in the trunk.

well, the cheap carabiners make the best belt clips. I actually have the last one of those and something like the second to last one (only more like a swiss army knife).

those yank made leatherman things are over rated, swiss made swiss army knives are the only thing you really need.

Blah blah blah we can start a whole argument over that yank shit but understand the only people hyping the leatherman are leatherman owners... and they would rather spend their cash on an LM than a cheaper SAK then that is their choice so CHILL.I use a real tool if I need a real tool. Multi tools are just for on the go convenience so no one is better than the other to anyone but the user.

BACK TO CARABINERS

Who doesnt love em and use em? I mean cmon.
