I have horrible eye vision. My doctor tried to switch me to polycarbonate lens to lessen the thickness of my lens but those created yellow lines on the left of everything, blue lines on the right, and red on the top. I took them back and they said that extremely rare cases reported the same effects as me and switched me back to my old lens. Lucky me...I'm the special one.

Ridiculously good. My party trick's reading small text posters and restaurant menu boards from the opposite side of the room.

I wish I could do that with glasses on :'(

I tried contact lenses once, the feeling was okay, but I think I look better with glasses

My hearing is useless (low and high sounds pretty much go unheard for me and all sounds eh sound the same meaning any sound drowns out any other) so my eyes adjusted to compensate.
To this end it seems Psyfira and I share a party trick.

my hearing is excellent (I think), and for me that's more important than my eyesight...

I wear contact lenses since I am near-sighted. And IMO, anyone can get used to contacts, it may just take you like ten minutes of retrying to put them in for the first couple of weeks.
BTW, I am also red-green color-blind. Luckily, this means that I would be excluded if there was ever a draft. Unluckily, this makes it hell to try and determine if my DS battery is low, since the power light is green and the warning light is red...

Alright. Who's the wise guy who managed to somehow direct their mouse to "I'm completely blinds." Lies make the baby Jesus cry.

There are tools for blind people to navigate the web. No idea how barrier free GBAtemp is, though...

Or, since video games are primarily visual, what use the site would really be to them.
You'd be surprised what some blind people do with video games... Quite a few are actually playable without seeing due to their audio feedback. It takes some commitment, though... There are also games targeted at blind people. The GBA's Soundvoyager comes quite close to that.

Tell that to my drill seargent who threw an Artillery simulator into an apartment building during Urban area training and made my ear ring for days.

It's funny you should say that, my hearing's normally okay but I have trouble in noisy pubs picking out what people right in front of me are saying over the background noise (which my aunt's been diagnosed for so it might run in the family). And my sense of smell is awful (might be hereditary from my Nan).
