I love Zelda 3. I hate RPGs ...

What else is there out there (on any system) that plays like A Link To The Past (all action and puzzle goodness) but isn't too heavy on the RPG/Turnbased rubbish?

Earthbound is turn-based.

The Mana series is probably the most obvious non-Zelda Action-RPG series.

There's also the Soul Blazer games (Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma). - And Ys.

Some RPG's blur the line, such as the Tales and Star Ocean games, but these are still closer to traditional RPGs...

Oh, and besides the 2 Genesis games already mentioned above, Crusader of Centy is about as close to a Zelda 3 rip-off as they come (not as good, but not bad either).

edit: personally i also love rolan's curse 2 for gb mono. quite innovative as well

There is a Zelda 3 clone on Snes, within Far-West landscape. I don't remember the name, but it's a very bad game

Daikatana on the GBC! Nothing like the horrid PC/N64 version it just shares the same name. Excellent game, shame its shit big brother made it unsuccessful.
