According to some Chinese forums Yoshi's New Island is the first game that requires 7.1 and Gateway 3DS Firmware 2.02B gives a black screen.

No, it works perfectly, but it requires GW2.0b2. Also, PAL=/= European version of a game, let that term die, people.
