Note: I'm not the one who's been handling the modding directly. I'll begin by telling what happens and what I know. The guy who's handling the Wii itself (including Harddrive, IOS/WAD management, etc.) is in the room and can give me any requested info.
So, trying this out. Been wanting to play GC backups on my Wii for years. My Wii is running 4.3u and has been softmodded for several years now, so I'm used to the typical trial-and-error that you can run through for hours trying to get an app permanently working.
We've downloaded through a Youtube Tutorial Pimp My Wii and DIOS MIOS. We have both a homebrew app (for some reason it shows up twice but with different coloring on the word Booter) and a DIOS MIOS Wii Channel. We've done most of the tests by running the channel to save time browsing the menus. If it helps, we also have WAD Manager and Configurable USB Loader.
We've received several error messages (i.e. apploader size is zero, dst not in MEM1, and apploader is not in app area) but we've gotten around those. Our biggest problem is that when Digimon World 4 is successfully loaded (our test game) the Wii shuts down within no more than 3 minutes.
Is there any known way to prevent this? I've read this may be because of our HDD drive but I've no idea what model and hope that's not the case.
