Gaming Yay, Wii Sports Resort comes out next week!

I personally can't wait for the US release, so I'm definately getting the JPN version in a few days, I'm sure all the menus and voice will mostly be in English as well. I predict my favorite sports will be Disc throwing, Swords, Archery, Table Tennis, and Wake Boarding. I already have 2 Wii Motion Plus thingies as well and will get a couple more so my friends and I can do 4 player canoing. Until then I'll continue to feed my addiction to Grand Slam Tennis online.

I'll DL the japanese ver. to try out my WMP, but I'm getting an actual copy when it's released in America since @ the store I'm getting it they're giving a little frisbee, backpack and water bottle WSR branded for pre-ordering, and it also comes with another WMP which I'm lacking for 2 player modes.

This better be damn good because the controller is worthless no games make use of it. All it is right now for the games that do use it is just worthless ps2 tacked on movements, and why wasn't the damn thing included when you buy the wii in the first place? i don't get it.

There's no indication of any sort on the Wii box, manuals or games that it originally has 1:1 motion control.

The Wii Motion Plus works great with Grand Slam Tennis and Tiger Woods 2010.

it wasn't included originally because it wasn't cost effect, the gyroscope in the Wii Motion Plus has only recently become easily and cheaply manufacturable. If it would've came with the system in 2006, it would've upped the price by about 60 dollars per Wii Remote, so each one would've cost $100, instead of 40. Nintendo knew that in order for the Wii to sell as well as it did, it had to be at the magic price point of $250, not over $300.

if you have a wii motion plus, you have to change your control options right before you start your match, when it shows your Wii Remote on screen, theres a left and right arrow next to it, switch your controls to Wii Motion Plus and it gets rid of the timing bar and relys on the motion plus instead.

You do realize that it just came out right? Also the tech wasn't around when the Wii was first released. And Tiger Woods and Virtua Tennis make fine use of Motion+ from what I have seen so far. Perhaps you haven't played em? Just give it time. I mean, you spent like $20 for an amazing technological advancement. At least give it a month before whining about how useless it is. I mean, look at how many games utilize the Wii balance board in the short time it has been out.

Also what the heck are these "worthless ps2 tacked on movements" you speak of?
