I think the "executive producer" thing is more of an honorary title.

Yamauchi was brilliant, yes. He understood talent, understood the winds of the industry and how to make Nintendo a powerful corporate entity. So much of what made Nintendo Nintendo is a result of his actions.

However, unlike Iwata, Yamuchi wasn't a game designer or a programmer. He found the talent to make great games and brought it forward- he didn't get involved in the games themselves. Because of his influence, names like Yokoi and Miyamoto are ones we know today.

Iwata started out in the trenches, as it were, so his experiences were vastly different from his predecessor. Because of his heavy, direct involvement in development, I think yes, there will continue to be games all the way up until 2018 that bear his name in some way.

I think you might have missed the point of my post.

Yamauchi may have been given some credits, honorarily, on games, but Iwata was a programmer. He was there in the trenches, getting his hands into the cake batter, so to speak. Having more direct influence and interest in the game design (as opposed to the more hands-off approach his predecessor took) means that it's highly likely he'll have a number of games put to market that bear his name, even after his passing.

An obsession with the Virtual Boy isn't something to be proud of, you know.

No, you don't know what you're talking about. Sorry, I have better things to focus on. See ya.

I read your stupid link and everything associated with it and it's completely irrelevant. Yamauchi had an obsession with 3D and made suggestions about making a system with two screens. That doesn't mean jack shit about whether or not he was directly involved in projects like Iwata was.

Again, you're full of it, don't know what you're talking about, and should have stopped posting when you had a shred of dignity left.

Go right ahead. You'll still be full of it- your tantrum changes nothing.
