During this year's TGS, the developers of the Yakuza series announced their new game which was slated for a release this year in Japan and at a later, unspecified date worldwide. SEGA has just unveiled the game's final name as Judgment (formerly Project JUDGE) along with an English dubbed trailer and a release window:

In a follow-up tweet, SEGA also confirmed that the game will launch with dual audio, meaning you can swap back and forth between the English and Japanese VO at will!

Judgment is expected to release in the West in summer 2019.

Cool. I don't like Yakuza, but this looks interesting.

First thing I thought of when I saw the title. Such a great song.

I didn't know until recently how cult popular the Yakuza series was. It's one of those series that was pretty much invisible to me and I only know of its significance through topics like this.

    Marginally curious.

Normally I would half expect it to be almost written off as "just gangsters killing gangsters" and then the idea that an undercover or something would go in and try to find out regardless, bureaucracy and apathy be damned, could make for an interesting story. The tone, cut and voice acting of that trailer though did not inspire much confidence.
