Yeah maybe just an error either in the OS (doubt, cause they would have uploaded 1.2 again) or the webpage. No reason to clutter up this thread with "hurrdurr brick and crack"

fully decrypted and crack is no imminent. it's as "easy" and patching the relevant function like Rei described.
so they're probably hoping to keep the current 1.3 out of circulation (since it's the one with any new "major" features) until they can put more obfuscation in.
I could be wrong though.
I'm sure TX aren't dumb enough to think they could purge something that's already in the hands of tons of people, and if it was cracked would be immediately re-uploaded in cracked format

they probably just inadvertently restored an old backup of the page

Makes sense. Still, downloading it anyway in case it becomes useful.

Maybe it could be a mistake....maybe it's to patch the boot.dat due to the release of the OS unpacker yesterday. I'm leaning towards the latter

Could be anything.

There's webpage monitoring software that automatically restores old backups of pages if it detects any sort of issue, It sounds to me like its something like that because literally nothing else would make sense.

They are obviously preparing to remotely brick all those Switches with their brick code, of course.

Hopefully it's a new update, though.

All this made me think of the Toyah song "it's a mystery" and I wasn't going to post a link just listen to it but then I heard one of the first lines from that song...

Spooked me out a bit.

IMHO it's a silent update that adds again the brick code (since we can now both unpack and repack Sx os, patching the license verification process is pretty near...), we should check checksums. ..

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
