I picked put a softmodded XBox that appears to have a few games on it and auto-boots boots into XBMC. However the video feed is in black and white, and the picture is constantly scrolling downward as shown here: :. My first suspicion was a region/resolution problem. I was able to navigate to the resolution settings within XBMC, but my only options were Auto and PAL 4:3. I have a max 1080i NTSC tv, and the XBox is connected through component Red Yellow White cables. Anybody know of a fix or something that can point me in the right direction?

Also note that some games, when booted into, will display just fine.

Thanks.

For those who may stumble upon this in the future, I was able to fix the problem by launching Enigmah X and changing the region from PAL to NTSC.

That's right. A genuine factory PAL Xbox has only 480i60 and 576i50.
All HD modes were disabled.

Region-free PAL games should be able to use them on NTSC systems without hacking, but I haven't tested it.
