I recently bought an old xbox360. According to the stickies I read here it might be a Xenon or an Opus. MFR date says 2006, but the power supply its 175w. It looks like it has been opened before so is it safe to assume its an Opus? Also it works fine right now except for the dvd drive button, but how much longevity can I expect out of this xbox?

If it doesn't have HDMI and works on a 175w PSU then it's an Opus.

Humm, they should be equally good as Falcons.
Just keep it clean of dust and you can enjoy it for a very long time.

I had to crack open my Falcon last night to clean out the dust. I hate how hard that damn case is to open.

OT: Slims are harder to open up in my experience.
That works without the "OT" there too.

Anyways when I had that 360 that died almost immediately, it was a total bitch to open, and then it took me like 45 minutes to get the x-clamp for the heatsink off to put some arctic silver 5 on it.

Does it :creep:

Removing the Xclamps is also a 5 minute job?
Could be that I done it loads of times tho ;p
