I'm looking to hook up my Xbox to the internet and to my computer via wireless network, and there is no way I will pay $100 for the Xbox brand wireless adapter. (That is complete garbage.)
I was reading about how you can turn a wireless router into a wireless receiver, and I was wondering if anyone here has actually done it, or if anyone could vouch for it? From what I understand, you can just take a relatively inexpensive wireless router and install new firmware to turn it into a wireless receiver, and then plug it into the Xbox with a small length of ethernet cable..?
