Xbox 360 without the key

    Sucks balls! But seriously this has been bugging me and I need an answer.

    Why would someone switch the drive on a WORKING xbox 360, then sell it with a different non-working drive? I really don't see a benefit to this...maybe it was obtained in a trade and swapped for other parts? I would at least tell the buyer and give them a link to the keys if I had pulled the keys from the drive. What do you think would be the reason/benefit to doing this?

    I'm going to use this xbox as a media center so it really doesn't matter that I don't have the key, would have been nice as a back up but I barely play my xbox anyway. can't deal with having to use discs anymore, so retro. USB loaders ftw.

    yeah my friend bought a RRoD that has a blank dvd drive with no firmware on it at all, wasn't even jtaggable but he only paid $35 for it.
    oh well he got a ripping drive out of it, now he sends games back to gamefly rather quickly compared to how he used to! lol
