Xbox 1708 Controller PC Issue

I use an Xbox One controller model 1708 with my PC but for some reason it won't stay paired. Every time i turn it on I have to go through the bluetooth pairing process (after which it works fine.)

I have updated the firmware, but that didn't help.

I have the same issue with two controllers on two pcs...

I can't imagine there isn't a better way...

I had this problem as well, but I never found a solution. I don't think it would unpair, but I'd lose connection sometimes for no reason.

Basically the light flashes slowly and it never pairs with the pc. if i hit the connect button, delete the controller in windows and repair it will work... until the next time. Not terribly useful.
