Yes, the bill went a little too far. But states do need to be prepared incase the feds go belly up.

With the ways things are going in this country, complete breakdown of the federal government is not that far fetch

But Wyoming.... they don't have that big of an economy, they're GDP is really low. They're just not ridden with debt.

Wyoming is a pretty forgettable state. That's a good thing in this case, though; any disaster would likely just obliviously pass them by.

So really, a plan like this is kind of redundant and unnecessary; they are already way ahead of the curve in terms of being prepared.

I can't believe how superstitious some people are.

(30-27? Wow?)

If the Spanish didn't burn the Mayan and Aztec libraries maybe we can actually put these predictions to rest.
There never was a prediction originally. Just a calendar that ended at a finite date like all other calendars ever made.

As soon as this freebie calendar runs out at the end of the year I should go and invest in a bomb shelter and survival supplies, because you know, whenever a calendar comes to an end, it means the rest of the world also ends with it.

But states do need to be prepared incase the feds go belly up.
I think the important thing is they asked for aircraft carriers and their own currency. If they were really worried about an emergency they would be talking about evacuation shelters, cleanly sourced drinking water, alternative power sources, medicines, etc.

It just sounds like they're interested in protecting their own assets in the case the national currency is devalued and riots end up ensuing.

It's amazing there wasn't a unanimous vote against it and equally amazing that it was proposed at all. ( if that isn't fake. Never know. It's the internets. ) Shows where their interests are invested, though.

...Yes it is.
