At first i thought this was another one of those "Vince is dead" storylines... then i looked it up on Google News...

i think this is the first time WWF/WWE has ever stopped right in the middle of a storyline.

i really dont see Benoit killing his family and himself... i just dont see it happening to a man like him. usually murder/suicide is reserved for people at rock bottom... no other way out and hes gonna take as many with him as possible. i dont buy this whole murder/suicide thing.

we'll see tho, next few days autopsy reports should be finished.

right well you really don't have a clue then. i'm not turning this into a debate thread but clearly from this it shows that this is purely a personal opinion instead of hard facts.
these are really tragic circumstances and may the three of them rest in peace and i hope that the answer to all that has happened come soon.

It isn't the first time they've dropped an angle, but it's the first time that I can remember that they cancel it and acknowledge its cancellation. I only hope true details come out to end speculation.

Tonight's ECW and Smackdown tapings will continue out of San Antonio as scheduled and neither will be Benoit tribute shows nor will they continue the McMahon explosion angle.

News update:
Benoit suspected of double murder. Strangled his wife, smothered his son, then hanged himself. Steroids were also found in his home and the possibility of 'roid-rage' has not been discounted.

Jeffrey Dahmer was a nice guy, he mowed his lawn every Saturday. I mean, aside from eating a few people.

Mancow was on a radio show this afternoon. He knows many of these WWF guys, and he's been in a few stunts in the ring. This Benoit guy wasn't especially close to anyone. He didn't have anyone in the group that was a real close confidant or best friend. He kept to himself mostly. He was nice, but no one really knew him very deeply. Sure, people will say kind things on a televised memorial service, funeral, etc. But behind the scenes it's an entirely different scenario.

His wife filed for divorce a few years ago, citing instances of rage, breaking furniture, etc. She later withdrew it, and they stayed together.

I'll say it. I hope Mrs Benoit & her son are in heaven. As for him, he's not one deserving any respect, hero-worship, or to rest peaceably.
