Homebrew Official WUP Installer - Title installer + Firmware spoofing [3.x - 5.4.0]

Because the spoof is perm. Not sure what will happen with future FW updates and spoofing

The firmware can be updated in the same manner, you just install "5.6.0" or whatever's next, it can be updated via his NUS exploit I would assume. Would you rather be on the real 5.5.0 and not be able to use any exploit?

If your WiiU completely freezes, you did something wrong. Redownload the title, check your title.cert, try a different SD, etc...

Just for more details :

- load the exploit = work go to home menu
- load the exploit the 2nd time = work go to home menu
- When go to Wii U menu => Freeze !

And only with this update.
If i update with the previous one, no freeze at all.
But can't play online levels.

Currently having the same problem with SSB4U, freezes after ~30 minutes.
The installation of the version.bin worked flawlessly though.
My redownload of the update just finished and is being copied to the SD card ...

If I do it without SD Card it says something like "No code found", but I don't have a lot of SDs to test :/ , 1 is a SDHC 4GB, and another is a SD 2GB, both FAT32 with defult cluster, maybe is a cluster problem?

Somewhere in this thread it was said that it would take 15-20 minutes for 400 MB, right?
(1.89 GB / 400 MB) * 15 minutes = 70.87 minutes
(1.89 GB / 400 MB) * 20 minutes = 94.6 minutes

I'm not telling you to NOT spoof, I'm telling that we don't know what will happen.
It "should" (like we always told since the beginning) update the missing and outdated titles on the next update.
But there's no definitive answer. every body knew that. it's irreversible. people choose to spoof or not based on their concern and fear of future issues.
Personally, I prefer not spoofing with a permanent solution.

I agree. With anything like this, there is always a risk involved and it's the users responsibility to go ahead and update whether there maybe future consequences or not.

With the next subsequent updates from Nintendo, everything may have no issues, etc, and those who have spoofed their Fw will be fine, yet there is also a possibility of unknown issues that may occur too.

Personally, I'd prefer myself to spoof my console but have the the option to revert back to defaults, if, such any future consequences occur.

It's great that this release exists and is available to the Joe public, yet I'm sitting this one out to see how it pans out for a while. Online and game updates is not a priority for me and a second console is for that like I do with every other console that is exploitable to this day IMO. That's just my two cents on this discussion.

I'm just going to guess, but likely wants to be able to use cheats in single player, while retaining online capabilities in other titles. That or they're dirty, if you know what I mean. Lol.

Pre-Setup Tips:

SD Cards: Make sure you have a FAT32 formatted SD (MicroSD to SD Adapters work fine) ready to use in your WiiU. Since Crediar's WUP Installer gives no output when it's running, if you have never used an SD card in your WiiU before, you will want to test compatibility and make sure the WiiU actually sees your SD card. You can do this by launching the Mii Channel and exporting one of your Miis to a QR code or just taking a picture of your Mii, both of which save a file to your SD card that you can view on your PC.

NUS Grabber: You will need a special version of NUS Grabber that generates a title.cert and downloads your Titles you want to install. To run it, you will need to first have installed a copy of VCC Redist 2015 (32-bit/x86). Grab the NUS Grabber and save then extract it anywhere on your PC for use. You can also use the very handy NUS Grabber GUI from ADR990 !

Browser Bookmarks: Since you'll be needing to visit the installation website with your WiiU Browser a lot, it's important to bookmark the URL. Since you can't bookmark it normally, it's easier just to Edit one of the existing stock bookmarks and change the Name to "WUP Installer" and the URL to " http://www.wupinstaller.com/wi ". If you've deleted those, just visit a site like Google, bookmark that, then edit it.

Downloading Titles:

Method 1: Use the standard NUS Grabber with command line options (See "Pre-Setup Tips" for system requirements)

Method 2: Use the super handy NUS Grabber GUI ! (Click "VIEW RAW" to download) -- Thanks ADR990 ! (See "Pre-Setup Tips" for system requirements)

Using the WUP Installer:

Step 1: Copy the contents of the title folder to the Install folder on your SD card ( SD:\install\ ) and put it in your WiiU.

Step 2: Open the WiiU Browser and visit the Installation Page ( http://www.wupinstaller.com/wi ) either by typing it in or from your bookmarks. If you get a "Exploit failed, please try again." error, power off and try again. For other issues, takes longer than 15 seconds, or crashes with no error messages, see the "Common Problems" section.

Step 3: If the exploit is successful, your WiiU Gamepad will back out just like if you had pressed the Home button. At this point, choose the Browser icon from the quick selection options and visit the Installation Page again.

Step 4: The Gamepad should back out one more time. At this point, your Title is ready to install! Now just press the button to return to the Home Menu (where all the Miis are running around) and the installation will begin silently.

** Set a timer for 10-15 minutes **

Step 5: Depending on the size of the title, installation should take anywhere from a few seconds (Firmware Spoofer) up to 15 minutes (Mario Kart 8 Update ~700MB) to install, however you will get NO FEEDBACK while it is installing or when it finishes.

Step 6: After the allotted time has elapsed, power down your console like normal, then boot it back up. Your Title will now be installed! You can verify installation by going to the Data Management in the System Settings. Keep in mind: game updates do not show up as separate icons if you bought the E-Shop version of the game.

If you see Corrupt Data, delete it then try your installation again. The most likely cause is that you didn't wait long enough for the installation to complete before rebooting.

Spoofing to 5.5 (Permanent):

Step 1: Grab the appropriate pack for YOUR REGION (DO NOT TRY TO CROSS-INSTALL, YOU WILL PROBABLY BRICK YOUR CONSOLE) and extract the files to your SD:\install\ folder:

USA [Download]
EUR [Download]
JAP [Download]

Step 2: Follow the steps from the "Using the WUP Installer" section to install the Title. This particular title only takes about 30 seconds or less to install, so set a timer for 2 minutes just to be safe, then reboot your console.

Update Safely from Disc (to 5.3.2):

Step 1: Obtain a copy of Mario Party 10 (or any game that contains 5.3.2 for YOUR region). See the list here-- http://gbatemp.net/threads/wiiu-list-of-system-updates-on-disc.372041/

Step 2: Delete ALL the WiFi profiles from your connection settings:

Step 3: From the main menu, the Disc Slot channel should show "System Update". Choose this now.

** For the SUPER paranoid, while it is "preparing" immediately after choosing the disc (Don't try it during any other steps), you can eject the disc and it will cause an error. You can use this to verify that it is indeed using the disc to install the update and not a pre-downloaded update that may be on your system already. **

Step 4: Let it run for a while and you should see something similar to this, stating not to eject this disc during the update.

Step 5: Once the update is complete, you will have to go through some new feature showcases and a new EULA, when it gives you the option to enable the Quick Start Menu, be sure to Disable it to prevent auto-updates!

Step 6: Check the top right corner of your System Settings and Welcome to 5.3.2 !!!

Common Problems:

"Exploit failed, please try again." Error: You'll be seeing this a lot. Just hold down the power button on your WiiU console until it shuts off completely, then start it back up.

Crash after running exploit 2 times and returning to Home Menu: There was a Fatal Error and the system halted. Either you are trying to install a non-public or unsafe Title or your SD card is incompatible, not formatted correctly, or doesn't have the appropriate files in the install folder. You may also be trying to install an existing or older version of an existing Title, which will not work.

Black Screen/No Error/Artifacts/Crashes on Browser Mii: There seems to be an issue with the current Webkit exploits if you do a major system update or choose the option to do a full Browser Data Reset (or have just never used the Browser before). To resolve this, follow these steps:

1. Open Multiple tabs with heavy content sites (Youtube, Facebook, etc.)
2. Press Home then return to the main dashboard
3. Power off your WiiU properly from the controller
4. Turn it back on and test the WUP Installer again

** This may also be an issue with your SD card, try launching the first stage without an SD card inserted to see if it works.

If you do not exit the browser properly then reboot the console and just try to launch the WUP Installer, the Browser cache file doesn't seem to write out properly and you'll just get a black screen again. You may need to do this several times, it can take up to 2 hours, but once the exploit starts working, however, you will typically never have to do it again.

N1 Tutorial but not perfekt....
First you forget to say that i can install USA gameupdates on a EU console with no Data CorruptIon in Data Management ... first fail...
Second i can Not see the update is complete only i go in the game self and Look at the Version
In Nussgraber can Not see the version number ...fail ..nussgraber cant see the filesize after the installation ...
And your Tutorial isnt working for everyone here .add to Common Problems ... :
1. Open 4 youtube tabs.
2. Delete the cookies, then click the home button to go back to the main menu.
3. Press home button again so miis start walking around again
4. Power down wii u using the gamepad
5. Power on using the gamepad (I have quick start and standby disabled if that matters)

7. Once it kicked me out to the home menu i chose the browser
8. Typed in the link manually again
9. Install started

try this and close the youtubetabs try the url a few times its worked

They all have whitelist, unless the payload has been modified on the rehosted versions.
but if re-hosted are a direct copy of Crediar's webpage, then they all work the same way and don't allow install of any other titles except updates and version.bin

the link you quoted is the official version, so it has whitelist.
