I got my Wiikey today and I excitedly opened up my wii. Without reading the installation manual, I assumed I was supposed to solder the modchip onto the inside of the case of the console. I turned on my wii and I still can't play backups. This WAS the right way to install...right...?

I feel bad for you man, you forgot to read the manual. You're suppose to solder it on your computer.

NO, NO, NO! you solder it to your forehead, then you can put backups in your mouth and play them where ever you go. [IMG]

Don't listen to these guys, you should solder it to the DVD-R with the game you're trying to run!

Apply the chip to the Wii with a sledgehammer. After that, burned games will work just as well as the originals do.

I'd like to take a hammer and just destroy something. Or a screwdriver and play with an old DVD player or a RC car [IMG]

Remember the tools you need to burn the disc are as follows:
    - A matchstick
    - 100ml of Gasoline
    - And some vasaline, Oprah magazine and some tissues while you wait for it to finish burning.
    - And a fire extinguisher (saftey first kids! [IMG] )
