So I have a fire tablet (OS 4.5.5.2) and over a year ago I got a message on my carousel saying that in a few weeks the tablet would be upgraded to fire OS 5. It got buried in my carousel until I cleaned it out today. Why the heck has it been over a year and I still don't see fire OS 5? When I hit check for updates it says I'm up to date. any ideas?

Root it and install a better custom Rom

The OS version I have blocks rooting, I searched it up.

You can bypass that by forcefully flashing root. [With flash tools, from your PC]

Mhm. Be sure to make a backup tho, FireOS acts weirdly sometimes.
