Would it be possible install a backup system menu on a separate IOS (not 60) and boot into this in the case of a sys menu brick? For example, with nintendo's new update, now use IOS 70 for your system menu. But what would happen if you did not uninstall the system menu in IOS 60?

I realize that there's only one "system menu" file (that's why preloader has to rename it) but idk, is there any possibility of this working?

It is possible but I think you will need a vulnerable boot 1 to achieve this...

    So basically theresno point.

Theoretically, you could install a second system menu, and have preloader let you choose, but theres not point. having an old system menu and a new system menu wouldnt change anything. you'd still have all the same IOS and channels and stuff on each, so if for example, you had 4.1 and 4.2, 4.2 would still delete HAXX and DVDX everytime you started it, and they'd be deleted for 4.1 as well.
