Would it be possible to create some kind of Gamecube controller port to USB adapter and write a loader to run games from that?
Or maybe even a USB adapter that plugs into the Gamecube memory card slot?

Keep in mind I have no idea what I'm talking about, just an idea I had.

someone would have to make a gamecube emulator to be able to run gamecube games off a usb

chances of that are slim considering we can't even get a solid n64/ps emulator going

OR wanikoko will have to pull off some miracle like he did for the usb loader itself.

waninkoko will likely do just that...prob make a new CMIOS to use with usb loader and the same dipmodule or whatever that we use with burned games and the backup loader for GC now

its really not all that far fetched but its gonna be time...like anything else it takes time

and a bit of faith!

im pretty confident that waninkoko is working on it but its not a #1 priority ATM perhaps...

emu_kidid created a similar gamecube iso loader. It allowed gc iso to be ran via a sd card adapter (gecko or sdml) to gamecube memory card slot. I don't know that he ever got real good compatibility with it. You also had to have a real gamecube disk in the drive. I never tried it on the on the wii but I was able to boot a few games using it on the gamecube. I believe he even came out with a sdhc version.

SD-Boot version 0.4 beta 5 for SD cards

usb-boot for usb gecko.

I don't think the Wii was ever supposed to have access to a usb mass storage device.
With some redesign of the gamecubes bios, much work, many hours of expirenced coding everything is possible....

With enough work you can even start linux on your microwave oven(!)
