Homebrew Would it be possible to convert .nds roms to .3dsx so it can be played?

Can it be done? Or would that require a lot of reverse engineering and remaking the whole thing? I know ninjahax only has arm11 access but the ds lite only has 4mb of ram and it can run all ds games. So should it not be possible?
