Alright, I know many people are disappointed because TWEWY Solo Remix isn't available for the Ipod Touch 4g. Would anybody be willing to help reduce the amount of RAM used, or even just get the sprites, background, and soundtrack for enjoyment? It'd be nice to hear the new soundtrack, even if the game can't be fixed. Also, the animated sequences would be cool to make .gif Signatures, etc.

Unfortunately all the files are encrypted (Audio, Sprites, etc), and its beyond my ability to extract them. The only files I was able to get access to were the animated sequences(Opening Cutscene, Pact Cutscenes, etc).

Could you perhaps Link them for download or something? That'd be cool ^_^

IPAs, as far as I know, are encrypted, and short of getting the iPhone's private key (fat chance) getting the data out of it is looking unlikely.
If you install the IPA on your device from somewhat illegitimate means, it may well work. Sometimes the limitations are just to mess with people.

From what I've heard, it uses too much RAM, and it causes the Ipod to crash. What I might do is get the app installed, then run it in safe mode.

As far as I've tested, you can install it via iFunbox but it crashes right when you get to gamplay. I'm not sure how to get my iPod to safe mode so... can't test that.

Well, you can open the games in Winrar, if that helps. Since it uses so much ram, I wonder if you could just delete the music to play it, or something. It's also got the Japanese titles in the Raw Media, so maybe deleting that would help. To enter safe mode, you'll need SBsettings, then go to power off using it, and choose safe mode.

You can open them in WinRAR but if your after the source code to edit in xcode then your out of luck , you may be able to change the pics around if they aren't encrypted, some apps encrypt them some do not

I'll upload the cutscenes somewhere if it's not against the rules here? I'm not sure what side of copyright it falls on.

I already got the cutscenes/pics, But I wish we could get a hold of the BGM files, which are encrypted, because they're in .BYTES format.

It won't work on iPod 4g or any iPhone below 4/4s because one of the requirements to play the game is to have a Camera LED Flash. (silly requirement right?)

But apparently the reasoning behind this is so Square Enix can squeeze an extra $2 for the slightly larger res version of TWEWY from iPad users.

Huh, I didn't know this. Maybe because I had no intention of buying a game I never really got into on the DS. I tried the iPhone version on my iPod Touch 4g (through illegitimate means) and it worked for the 2 battles I played in the game, then I couldn't really get into it so I quit and deleted the game. Maybe it would crash for the more intensive battles though.

And yeah, what a silly requirement. Devs do have to go through workarounds about the requirements though, I remember Zynga/Phosphor having to do this with Horn and even then they couldn't exclude the first iPad from the list.

Without reverse engineering, there are no known public method of porting an iOS game to any other device. Unless you are a professional hacker or guru, I'm sorry to say: diminish your hope; there is no way for your dream to come true.

You can, I just tried. Try to remove the files in twewy.app/Data/Raw/BGM/ using iFile or i-FunBox and enter Safe Mode. I just finished day 1 without any crashes.

Converting an iPad app into an iPhone/Pod Touch app is virtually impossible without the source code.

You're probably better off porting Desmume to iOS.

It's an iPhone app, but it's only meant for devices with 1/2 GB of RAM
