Hello folks,

I was wondering: It is possible to use amiibos with the new3DS therefore the new3DS has an NFC read functionality. Since Smash also writes data onto amiibos, it has also an NFC write functionality. Is there a reason why there is no NFC reader/writer homebrew which lets you read from and write to amiibos? This way people could make backups of their amiibo data and wouldn't lose their stuff if they use the same amiibo for Smash and Mario Party.

The real question is, can you turn a common amiibo into one of the ""Fuck you" -love Nintendo" ones via softwrite, or if the data is somehow fixed
