So I dunno if y'all have seen or not yet, but fucking christ are they just throwing away any and all goodwill they had. First the OGL, and now less than six months later, they sent actual Pinkertons to recover some leaked bits of cardboard? For a set that drops super shortly? I get brand security or whatever, but this goes so far beyond that.

Sending guys to someone's house is such a huge step over the line. There was no communication ahead of time, no "hey we need you to not fucking do this or we'll sue", no they basically went full mafia! Such a shame too. I fucking love Magic: The Gathering.

I guess what alternatives to Magic would you recommend? I'm tapped out.

It's absolutely disgusting that they didn't try to reach out to the YouTuber first. WotC just sent out the thugs and only after they had recovered the allegedly stolen property did they even talk to them. Companies are so quick to lean on probably-legal-but-definitely-unethical means to control their Intellectual Property, doing tons of harm to their public image in the process.
