Hacking Worth to buy New 3DS XL? (Gateway etc.)

That made up my mind, I'll keep the N3DS I preordered. Can't go wrong, not unless Gamestop updated the N3DS in stock. Not even sure if they can do that.
I can pretty much assure Gateway will run on this N3DS. Now the only thing left to worry about is how the system transfer will go from my 3DS XL.



The features seem really nice, but I'm not sure if its worth the upgrade if you already have a brand new 3DS XL. I may be making a mistake to buy the N3DS and spend money on it. Even tho I'm selling my 3DS XL for about $180 on Ebay. It will still cost me a bit of cash since the N3DS cost $210.
So it will be like buying the N3DS for $30 instead of full price.

It's a tough decision, I already have it fully paid off in a preorder. I might just do it for the faster loading times, maybe it will help in emulators?

Mat serious question. How do you expect to get $180 for an XL on eBay? Is it a special edition? They are cheaper than that new on Amazon right now and after tommorow will likely fall in price further. I don't see spending more than $80 on a used old 3DS.

It is worth it, however Gateway currently does not support the New 3DS's and honestly I would wait until they do release the update before you go and purchase the New 3DS XL.

personally i would advice against waiting as gateway update may take a while to come out by then maybe the new 3ds with compatible firmware will be hard to find,also he can also get SKY3DS if gateway fail to support the new 3ds.

Dunno if it's been mentioned already but you can currently trade in a 3ds XL for $100 to gamestop if it goes towards the new 3ds. If you currently only have one 3ds then yea, not much of an option, but if people have a 2nd one for who knows why, I'd trade it in to lower the cost of the new 3ds.

I actually sold my other XL on ebay for $200. So I guess I'll try my luck to see if I can sell it lol
It's a 4.5 3DS XL, but those aren't worth anything anymore since the 9.2 support.

The exploit is no different from a 3DS to a New 3DS. What to after you get kernel access may be different, but actually getting it is not different at all.

we know it must work on a certain region..on a certain firmware

we dont know if there is support for everyone yet.
