After releasing a combat trailer last month, Experiment 101 is back with a new one for their upcoming title Biomutant titled "World Trailer". As the name suggests, it gives us a peek at the in-game universe devoid of any action as the video description writes that "there are too many fast-paced, dark and gritty trailers in this world anyway". Of note, this new trailer's audio and visuals have been captured in-game, so you can get an idea as to what to expect when it launches next month:

Below are some of the game's highlighted features:

Biomutant is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 25th, 2021.

Looks pretty lovely, like a cross between Fallout and a Monolith Soft game. I'm cautiously optimistic but I worry the world will be a bit empty like Fallout 76 since they really didn't show much off in regards to characters or areas that are actually inhabited.

I have similar worries as they might have gone open world but without fleshing it out enough.

I'll be honest, I know a lot of people don't enjoy just running around an open world, but this looks slick. Just the different ways of getting around; didn't hear anything about this game before hand, but now I'm kinda hyped!

This is more impressive than the combat trailer. So many mounts and movement options. Hopefully that means a bunch of secrets to discover throughout the world too.

I've had this on my to-buy list for years. Glad to see it finally has a release date.

This game was developed as an open world game since day 1.

OK. Curiosity piqued. I am somewhat bored of wheelchair and pram accessible dungeons and post apocalyptic hellscapes and do like the option to clamber around a bit.

Haven't got any credits for the game but the head of the studio making it has a linkedin https://se.linkedin.com/in/stefanljungqvist which lists a bunch of others at the company.
He has been involved in a fair few things https://www.mobygames.com/developer/stefan-ljungqvist/credits/developerId,122793/
and that would include Just Cause 2 so some pedigree there on the making open worlds feel like something (say what you will about the unlock new areas missions in that being a bit repetitive but the rest was pretty solid).

Not showing of stuff in a scenic like trailer does not mean it will not be there.
But I do hope this gets a demo or goes on game pass, if only to convince people on getting the game.
