So i intend to make an UNDUB for Ys VIII (US maidump version but for 3.60 users - I'm on an very old henkaku version, so I can't use the NoNpdrm version + DLC) by replacing the voice files with the JP ones but it seems that the games data is stored in a huge file called "rootast.xai"...
I found a tool specifically for this game's xai files, but I don't know how to use this syntax correctly or something's not working correctly:
https://github.com/yosh778/YsVIII-tools
Unpacker
Usage : unxai <input> <output>
Extracts all files from an input XAST archive into the given output >directory.
I tried every way possible to execute the exe with these parameters in the command line... But it doesn't work. Maybe i missunderstood the syntax of the command? Is there anyone who worked with that tool while the English patch for the JP version of Ys VIII was made last year and can give me some hints on how to use this? Do those brackets on "input" and "output" need to be there? Does it require the absolute paths?
