Is there a recommended CFW (like pasta, rxtools, etc etc) to keep that up to most recent update so I don't get the system update nags on sysnand?

So alrdy a problem on "The site" are just downgrading files from 9.3 to 10.3, Where did your get yours?

I have a 3DS XL that's currently sitting on 10.3 (I have a second system that's running 9.2 sys/10.6 emu) AND have cubic ninja...guess it's time to bring that 10.3 up to 10.6, I see no reason to keep it on 10.3. Anyway, not sure if I want to downgrade it at the moment but this seems to be working so, I don't see any negatives in updating it unless someone can point out a reason to me. Happy to see so many 10.6 people having success with this

imo, you should downgrade it while you have 10.3 and if it softbricks you can upgrade to 10.6 and try again.

It's a system that I'm trying to keep legit since it has a ton of legit purchases...been hesitating about using it, still hesitating a tiny bit. Thanks for the suggestion, though, I think you're right.
Yes, here. N3DS, NO safesysupdater! I did a format before and used the 4gb included micro sd card.
Anyways, I already did downgrade but it's awesome that we now can downgrade from 10.6!!
Is it possible at all to backup my Pokemon Yellow save data before I do this? I'd like to not loose all my progress if possible.

download this and extract "mmap" to the root of your SD card (so you have a bunch of XML files inside "mmap"): https://github.com/ihaveamac/9.6-dbgen-xmls/archive/master.zip
then try svdt or another manager with Pokémon Yellow.
if it fails, please tell me the language you picked for Yellow.
i do have another entry point. ctrbootmanager to boot hbl. but i got it to work. i forgot to delete the old save hax
